CHARLES EASTON-Class 4

Chuck seen here with daughter Susan at the "swim lesson".Charlie Easton A retired architect, Chuck lives in North Vancouver with wife, Bernie (Bernice Kennett, ex-Jayo), has 2 children and 2 grandsons. Happiest when hes building something, Charlie claims as his greatest achievement helping grandson Geoff build the best looking rabbit hutch in the western hemisphere. Charlies favourite journey was a cross-Canada camping trip when the kids were little and his fondest memory of J.O. was an unexpected snowfall, I think in April, and a snowball fight that lasted two days. He would like to be remembered as being willing to help, and his motto is Be Prepared (you should see his collection of used building supplies just in case). Chuck has this to say about his life today: After a career of precision blueprints and specifications I now enjoy winging it with small building projects for family and friends. For decks, patios, kitchens or bathrooms, I do the planning on the back of an envelope and all the physical work myself: concrete, wiring, plumbing and drywallthe whole disaster. And the grubbier I get doing it, the more I enjoy it.

VIC EDWARDS-Class 5

Vic Edwards "Pappy" tells us that he has retired from the grocery business and now lives in Port Coquitlam, His nearest and dearest is "the little woman," and we are unclear whether or not he is referring to the same person when he tells that his greatest extravagance is "his wife," but we sure hope so. He is happiest when travelling and his favourite journey one to the Yukon via the Alaska Highway. Vic's fondest memory of Jayo was Miss Montgomery's math class(?) and his greatest achievement "getting out of high school." He regrets not travelling to Europe with friends when he was young. Vic is "too broke to plan anything" for the rest of his life and would like to be remembered as "a nice guy a prince." (No problem, your highness.) His motto: "Don't do today what you can put of for a couple of months." About his last 50 years, Vic says: "What a blast!"

RUTH EVANS-Class 31

Ruth Evans (McLeod) Seeing her 4 children graduate from B.C.I.T. was a high spot for Ruth, who lives in Richmond with husband, Glen. Her greatest extravagance was buying a first home in Richmond (and shes still there!) and her favourite journey, travelling to Britian to discover family roots & meet family members. Being a commercial student, one of Ruths memories of Jayo was the long walk on rainy days to gym classes in the barn. Her last 50 years: I worked for the Provincial Government for 6 years then stayed at home to raise a family. Now I love to travel & spend time with our children & 6 grandchildren. I still keep in touch with Alice Anderson, my class mate. As a trained florist, Ruth naturally hopes to spend lots of time in the garden as well as travelling. Her motto: If at first you dont succeed, try, try again!
